While I am quite a diligent little fanboy, I am not to proud to admit when Microsoft betters apple in one way or another. The case in point here is the Zune’s wireless song sharing or “squirt” feature. Sharing a track between music players is something that only the five million or so Zune users of the world have been able to do…until now, thanks to Sendsong for the iPhone.
Now, let’s not get too carried away, Sendsong is far from perfect. The way it works is it allows you to send any song on your iPhone’s library in an email. The problem is that:
A. You can send it to another iPhone but the receiving iPhone won’t be able to play it until you import the song into iTunes and put it on the phone that way
B. It may be illegal if you are sharing copywrited contend. And most of all
C. You need to hack your phone to do it.
If none of these three things bother you than step right up and join the world of piracy on the go sharing homemade music with your friends via iPhone!
